Vehicle Insurance & Security Deposit

All vehicles rented through Pamir Jeep Rentals are insured with a local insurance company in Kyrgyzstan under OSAGO (third-party liability) and CASCO (vehicle damage) insurance policies. We want our customers to understand how the insurance works, what it covers, and what their financial responsibility is during the rental period.

Third-Party Liability Insurance (OSAGO)

Our vehicles have OSAGO insurance with a third-party liability coverage limit of €1,500.

This insurance covers damage caused to third-party property, subject to the policy conditions. Please note that this coverage does not include third-party medical expenses or personal injuries.

Vehicle Damage Insurance (CASCO) & Security Deposit

Our vehicles are also covered by CASCO insurance, which provides coverage for damage to the rental vehicle, subject to the policy exclusions and conditions.

A refundable security deposit of €600 is required at the beginning of each rental. This amount represents the insurance excess (deductible) and is held as security during the rental period.

For damage covered by the insurance policy, the customer is responsible for costs up to €600. Any covered expenses exceeding this amount are handled by the insurance company, subject to the policy terms and conditions.

In the event of a major accident or total loss of the vehicle, the customer’s maximum responsibility for covered damage is €600.

The security deposit is returned after the vehicle has been inspected, provided there are no outstanding damage claims or other deductions under the rental agreement.

What Is Not Covered by Insurance?

Certain types of damage are excluded from insurance coverage and remain the customer’s responsibility. These include:

  • Scratches and cosmetic damage to the vehicle body
  • Bumper damage
  • Windscreen and window damage
  • Tyre damage
  • Underbody damage
  • Damage to the rooftop tent and camping equipment
  • Mechanical or technical damage resulting from negligent or irresponsible driving
  • Damage caused by ignoring driving restrictions, entering prohibited areas.

Any such damage or repair costs may be deducted from the security deposit or charged separately in accordance with the rental agreement.

Our vehicles are prepared for adventurous journeys across Kyrgyzstan, but responsible driving is essential. Customers must follow the approved itinerary, respect road restrictions, and use the vehicle appropriately for the terrain and conditions.

Having driven for many years as independent drivers along the Pamir Highway and throughout Kyrgyzstan since 2012, we have gained extensive experience in providing transportation services. Our knowledge of the travel and experience business has continuously improved over the years, as we have served customers consistently for over eight years. All of our efforts have led to the establishment of a 4WD rental company in Kyrgyzstan, with the primary mission of offering self-drive 4WD SUVs without drivers for visitors to Kyrgyzstan.

We focus primarily on off-road vehicle rentals in Kyrgyzstan without drivers. Our belief is in offering simple, high-quality service. We do not follow complicated procedures to organize a self-drive trip in Kyrgyzstan; instead, our main priorities are the safety and satisfaction of our guests.

4WD SUV RENTAL IN KYRGYZSTAN

We guarantee competitive prices and flexible terms for travelers. Our fleet consists of the same models of 4×4 SUVs used by our drivers for long-distance tours. We offer identical jeeps that we own ourselves, as we know these vehicles to be reliable travel companions.

INSURANCE FOR RENTAL CARS

All our rental jeeps are insured with Third-Party Liability insurance through a local insurance company in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. This insurance covers up to 500 USD/EUR for damages to the vehicle, and our prices include insurance coverage for the duration of the rental. We believe in transparency, with no hidden charges. According to our rental contract and insurance policy, we require a 500 USD/EUR deposit at the time of vehicle handover. This deposit will be refunded at the end of the trip, provided there is no damage to the exterior or interior of the vehicle.

In the event of a breakdown, we take responsibility for guiding your next steps or providing a replacement vehicle within a reasonable timeframe. However, it is the customer’s responsibility to perform basic vehicle inspections and drive carefully to avoid damaging the company’s property.
